Located near Eagle Farm Racecourse, just north east of Brisbane in the upmarket suburb of Ascot, this large traditional home was recently refreshed with many refurbishments including a new roof. With the owner desiring a distinctive look with a definite ‘Wow’ factor, LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding from the exciting new ZENITH™ RANGE of architectural cladding was chosen for its unique appearance when compared with traditional roofing profiles.

THE SOLUTION
Installed by A.M.J Metal Roofing, experts in residential, commercial and industrial roofing and re-roofing who have been servicing the Brisbane area for more than 50 years, the roof proved somewhat challenging due to the numerous ridges and valleys presented by an older-style home.
However an extremely good looking result was achieved thanks to the skill of A.M.J Metal Roofing, the support and service of the Lysaght team with which the Brisbane roofing firm has established a strong working relationship – and, of course, the striking visual created by LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding.
“Alan Finlay, Owner and Director of A.M.J. Metal Roofing, is very open to new products and welcomes challenges; he definitely thinks outside the square and came up with custom solutions for ridges and valleys on this project which, combined with the new LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding, resulted in an exceptionally good looking roof,” said Andrew Mandla, Lysaght Account Manager on the project.
“Being a new product, we supplied A.M.J. with support data such as our installation manual and also made regular site visits to ensure all was going well and offer any assistance Alan might need. He absolutely loved the LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding and found it very easy to install – which is common feedback we receive from customers who have used it on their projects. “Alan will always tell us the positives and the negatives with a product and he couldn’t really find any negatives with the LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding. Even where the sheets at the front of the house were over the eight metre length we generally recommend, Alan installed those directly onto ply, as opposed to installing onto roof battens as with the rest of the roof, and achieved an excellent result.”
Along with detailed product information and onsite support, Lysaght also tailored product delivery to meet the challenges of the elements - and crucial project timelines. “We also gave A.M.J options with deliveries,” Andrew Mandla explained. “As we delivered direct to site during a period where rain was coming, we worked very closely with them to deliver product precisely at optimum times, which worked out very well.”
